Why am I not getting any interviews?

Trying to secure an interview can be one of the most stressful things besides winning the job after you get the interview. I am a recruiter for one of the top staffing firms and people always come to me with frustration because they are having difficulty on their own to secure an interview. Well here I am to answer some underlying issues that you may not be aware of. Common reasons: You don't qualify based on your resume - if your resume doesn't speak to the position, why would someone want to interview with you - and no they will not always provide training for an entry level person

Are you applying to the best position? Many people just mass apply to job postings now with new technology. I was guilty of this too when I was on the job search. If you take the time to fully read positions you will notice there may be some interesting qualifications Some of the best or qualified positions require long applications and 100+ question personality exam! Face I did not enjoy those applications either but many were worth it! You maybe need to start from the bottom and work your way up.

The best thing you can so is research your field, what are typical positions in your field and are they saturated? Be open to entry level When I saw my interview ratio turn around I took these steps: 1. Let someone else look at my resume 2. Researched and narrowed what I wanted to do and what companies to target 3. Tailored my resume to the position 4. Posted to the simple and the difficult job applications 5.
